Distinctive Art is a musical group led by Amjad, a Sudanese artist and pilot, dedicated to reviving and modernising the rich sounds of Sudanese folklore. Rooted in the works of legendary figures such as Mustafa Seid Ahmad, Mohamed Wardi, and Al Kabli, the band fuses lively rhythms and melodies with a contemporary flair.

Our ensemble, featuring a blend of congas, bongos, bass, oud, keys, saxophone, accordion, electric guitar, and captivating vocals, brings to life a vibrant, unifying sound that transcends cultural boundaries. With a commitment to preserving Khartoum’s musical legacy, the band provides a platform for artists and musicians affected by the war in Sudan to create and share their stories through music.
