Job Purpose

Caravane Earth Foundation seeks a visionary and highly skilled Head of Education & Vocational Academy to lead its unique, globally oriented educational institution. The academy's mission is to revitalize traditional knowledge for contemporary social, cultural, and economic development, contributing to a harmonious and sustainable world. This leader will design, implement, and manage a curriculum that honors traditional practices while meeting contemporary needs, positioning the academy as a global hub for sustainable education and vocational training. The Head of Education & Vocational Academy will be a key contributor to Caravane Earth’s mission, using education as a powerful tool for social and cultural harmony, empowering communities to live sustainably, and preserving traditional knowledge as a valuable resource for future generations.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Vision

  • Develop and communicate a clear vision for the academy that aligns with Caravane Earth Foundation’s mission to revitalize traditional knowledge for social and cultural harmony.
  • Position the academy as a leader in sustainable education by implementing best practices in education, curriculum design, and program delivery.

Curriculum Design and Program Development

  • Design and develop comprehensive curriculum frameworks in Traditional Architecture & Urbanism, Organic Agriculture & Slow Cooking, Natural & Handmade Textiles, and Creative & Intellectual Pursuits (philosophy, applied art, design, filmmaking, theatre, music, literature).
  • Develop enabling programs to support and enhance the four main educational and vocational areas.
  • Lead the creation of experiential workshops, online video educational programs, and graduation certifications.
  • Foster innovative, hands-on, experiential learning models to engage students in practical applications and real-world experiences.


Faculty Recruitment and Management

  • Recruit, hire, and mentor a team of diverse faculty members and staff, ensuring high standards of teaching and community engagement.
  • Oversee faculty development programs to continuously enhance instructional quality and curriculum relevance.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the academy, ensuring alignment with Caravane Earth’s standards and objectives.

Evaluation, Accreditation, and Reporting

  • Design and implement a comprehensive evaluation system to monitor program effectiveness, student progress, and faculty performance.
  • Lead efforts to achieve and maintain accreditation with international educational bodies.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on the academy’s progress, achievements, and challenges to the Director and Board of Caravane Earth Foundation.

Community Engagement and Public Programming

  • Design and lead community engagement initiatives, such as open days, experiential workshops, public lectures, and talks.
  • Develop partnerships with local and international organizations to expand the academy’s reach and foster a supportive community network.
  • Represent the academy in public forums, conferences, and community events to enhance visibility and reputation.

Global Expansion and Partnerships

  • Strategically position the academy for global growth, including developing new campuses or affiliations in other countries.
  • Form partnerships with global academic institutions, cultural organizations, and vocational training bodies to share resources, knowledge, and best practices.


Operational Management

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and processes to ensure the smooth operation and high standards of the academy.
  • Manage budget planning, resource allocation, and logistics to optimize academy resources.
  • Oversee the development and distribution of educational toolkits, publications, and digital resources

Education

  • Master’s degree or higher in Education, Curriculum Development, Cultural Studies, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in an educational leadership role, with at least 5 years in vocational and experiential program development.
  • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing educational
  • programs, especially in areas aligned with Caravane Earth’s mission.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Experience in faculty recruitment, training, and mentorship.
  • Expertise in building partnerships, securing accreditation, and maintaining global educational standards.
  • Familiarity with traditional knowledge systems and sustainable practices is highly preferred.
